The last 2 FB updates I did are SOOO slow, and slowing down everything else on my smartphone. I want to uninstall the android app and just use my web browser, its much faster. Will uninstalling the android app prevent me from getting to Facebook on my browser?

You don't need the app to access Facebook. The app was meant to be a shortcut but apparently, it's not.
You can still access FB from any browser on your phone.

no you can still get on it but you need root access to delete stock apps

You will be able to use the browser to log in to FB.
