So my dads a total douche. Left my mom at the hospital before I was even born. And I was always cool with not having a dad, my friends always complained and I don't know, I didn't feel like it was nessasary. But yesterday I found my dads learners permit. Its from like 20 years ago. So I googled him. And didn't get anything. I tried facebook and if he has one he's either an old man whose maried, has a daughter, and plays a lot of farmville, or some guy whose profile pic is a car. I don't know what to do. I've been bummed all day because I just want to know who he is. Hes the reason I'm alive. But this whole thing is making me sad and should I just stop??

Why would you want to know him when he's made no attempt to know you? Like you said, he's a douche.

I understand how you must feel the want to know him. And its perfectly fine with being curious here. But again you tried and couldnt find anything so far, thats its. You dont have to bug yourself on this. You always were fine with him not being around and you still will be fine. If he ever cares, he will find you otherwise its not worth it right?
Dont think about this matter, nor mention it to your mom. I hope you will be fine soon
