You start off with an DSLR camera, get a used one on amazon. Make shorts and hope they get noticed. You can submit in film festivals. A film student friend gave me this: You just may be astonished at the quality of a semi-cheap digital camera. But it sorta sounds like you want to get a camera that bolsters your professional image. If you want a nice DSLR, WOMP has a good guide (if you can get around the humor): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeZ1KeRFgj0 If you want a light-weight camera that looks professional, a Panasonic HMC is nice: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-AG-HMC150-AVCHD-24fps-Camcorder/dp/B001DKELYC Possibly more important than the camera is lighting. But I can't really give recommendations there unless I know what/where you plan to shoot. Isaac |
