She has a lot of gay fans and she was recently bashed for standing up for gay marriage by some ignorant Christian group, from wikipedia;
In April 2009, Cyrus was criticized by the American Family Association (AFA) for a comment she made in a Twitter communication to Perez Hilton. In response to a question from Hilton regarding same-sex marriage, Cyrus wrote: "I am a Christian and I love you - gay or not - because you are no different than anyone else! We are all God's children and everyone should be happy." The AFA said: "Clearly she is confused and does not understand the Bible. Please pray for the Lord to open her eyes to the truth.
