They shouldn't have raised the amount, it will upset people. Since some believe £20 a week will have no benefit, they may as well reduce the pension by £20 a week.

That is the trouble with our Politicians. They can not even run this Country today, and still they make predictions to the future. Its nothing but Political Window Dressing or as we know it as B@@@@T.
You will be lucky to get a pint of beer for your money. However you should be pleased to know, that the Politicians will still retain their subsidies.

Assuming that inflation rate remains, in 2020 (6 years from now) you will need £22.6 to buy what you can buy right now in 2014 for £20.
