how to advertise a club on my friends homepage on a FACEBOOK to join too? - dana - 03-24-2014 10:45 AM

QUESTION FOR WISE HEADS: have U also realised that on the right of your FCB page u can find small advertisement to join this club or that club? (usualy things U might be interested in..how do they know?) Anyways if U establish a club and you wish 2 have it appeared on your friends homepages just like these advertisments, what do you have to do? Or are those clubs that appear chosen randomly?TX much for suggestions!

The stuff on the right hand side is normally the random suggestions that Facebook chooses according things you have in common with your friends... sort of like how they suggest mutual friends. But I did a study last year on how company's can advertise on Facebook... I don't remember if it was free or not, but the company or whatever they are, chooses the target audience by putting in all this info on who they would like the ad to appear to, then Facebook filters through the people by using words that were written in people's profiles. For example, if a company was selling.. skateboards, then they would write that they want their ad to appear to males aged 15-20 that said that one of their hobbies is skateboarding and all kinds of specifics like that. So you could probably look for a button that says something like "place our ad here" or "advertising" or somethinggg like thattt. Hope that made some sense lol
Another thing you could do is, if it's a facebook group you are talking about, then you can send out lots of invitations through the groups application and tell people to tell other people. Lots of ways to spread the word on FCB haha
