Is this a good build for a gaming desktop? - Joshua H. - 03-24-2014 10:46 AM This is my first build, but I know what I am doing and have a few experienced friends to help me too. I'm going to build a sub-$850 gaming desktop, and I want to be able to play the newest games with decent frame rate for ~3-4 years. This is what i'm thinking of getting: pcpartpicker.com/user/joshiboi108/saved/3pcb Note that the CPU and mobo are a combo deal at Microcenter costing $150 for both. Suggestions (different parts, etc.)? Should I get >1600MHz RAM? I'm willing to pay ~$30 more if it makes any difference, and I will be using WIFI primarily (oh well...). Thanks, Josh My parts list link didn't work... http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2zzlN NBSN: Thanks, however I did look into that. Apparently, it is very unlikely to happen. Even if it did happen, it would be an easy fix. - NBSN - 03-24-2014 10:54 AM Did you check the parts are compatible because on the link there is a large banner saying they might not work together? What about an optical drive? If you need any help you can contact me at https://www.facebook.com/pages/NBSN/205302762950470 |
