facebook offers privacy levels ranging from "Public" to "Only Me"... in b/w thr are some more choices u can make and hence decide the level of privacy u want for the content u share on FB.. be it ur status update.. photo album or anything else..
by default.. things like photos and status are set to 'friends' i guess..
