how to i get notifications for new messages for facebook through msn messenger? i saw it at my friends house

Provided the e-mail you use to sign into messenger is the same as the e-mail address that you used to registered with Facebook and you have e-mail notifications set up on Facebook you should be able to get them to be displayed on Windows Live Messenger so that any time Facebook sends you an e-mail notification it should display a new e-mail received notificiation/alert from Facebook in Windows Live Messenger.
