My hotmail account will SOMEtimes receive emails from facebook informing me that i have a new message on facebook. Yet sometimes it doesn't, why?
P.s. all other notifications come through fine! (so maybe its something to do with the new facebook messaging system?)

The most likely reason is that Facebook is experiencing technical difficulties/ glitches and should be up and running shortly. Log out and wait a while before logging back in.
