How can I opt out of political ads showing up on my home page and mailbox page

Find a site that appeals and make it your home page, perhaps something neutral like a weather page or sports related.
Political ads are everywhere, information is not as free as we would like.
Example - Facebook is inundated with politically sponsored ads.
