Does this count on college apps? - Lily - 03-24-2014 11:00 AM

I've been interviewed by magazines like Teen Vogue multiple times for a teenager/"real girl"'s (but not an expert's) perspective on things like social media, religion, etc. Can I write this on my college apps? And what would it be called/what would it fall under (EC's, awards/honors) if it does count?

I'd definitely say that it would be appropriate to include that on your app. If I were you, I'd list it under extracurriculars!

Extracurriculars. "Featured" in publications (I would totally name drop here if they're recognizable ones) as a teen contributor/writer/reporter... something along those lines.

Hi Lily

It depends on your major. If it is engineering or other hard science, leave it off. It destroys credibility.

For liberal arts, do whatever you want.

If fashion, definitely yes.
