my ex is black mailing me with a restraining order violation.. what can i do? - D N A - 03-24-2014 11:01 AM

I violated my restraining order by sending him a message on Facebook. Instead of reporting it he is using it to black mail me in to do what ever he wants. I wrote something true but not in good light about his girl friend, my ex friend, on facebook on my home page and he is black mailing to show a naked pic he has of me if I don't remove the post. When ever he wants things his way he throughs the black mail pic and restraining order violation in my face. He tells me to do what he wants or he will report me and get my children taken away. The restraining order is for excessive phone calls only no violence.

Blackmail is against the law. Call him on it if you have evidence to prove he is blackmailing you.

So you violated the restraining order and his "blackmail" is to get you to pull your comment off and leave him alone?

Stop being a crazy ex, move on and get out of his life.

It's not illegal for him to violate his own restraining order against you. First of all. People need to understand that. HOWEVER, you can go to court to contest the order, or file for modification. Since he contacted you or replied.... it shows he is clearly not afraid of you.

To be honest, I think you really should just LET HIM GO. Move on. Block him from your social media accounts, & forget about him. You have children? Time to focus on them & forget about the guy. You can't have your children taken away just for violating a harassment order... but it will make you look horrible in court, & you could end up with CPS involved. Once CPS is involved, you can potentially lose your kids for a variety of reasons. So, be mature & responsible.
