4 days ago I sent 3 friend requests out on facebook to people. However, since then, none of them have approved (or declined) my request. All three are still pending? Is this a glitch? I would understand if one of them would be pending, but all three?

No its not a glitch.
It could be that they didnt see the friends request or they haven't log on facebook.
