Click on the small triangle next to HOME
Click on 'Account Settings'
Click on 'Security'
Click on 'Deactivate Account'

1. Login to Facebook.
2. Click this link: http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account
3. Follow the steps.

Sign in to FB.
Go to account settings.
Click on security.
Click on "Deactivate Account"
Enter your password, give reason to deactivate the account, Fill the captcha form.
now the account will be deactivated.......
