When will you be able to buy stock on public market if they file papers on Wednesday? Any help would be appreciated so I am new to this, thanks!

I think that the IPO date is part of the filing (I was sure of that until yesterday when my buddy told me it wasn't necessarily true). The IPO will not be for several months. Expect April, 2012 or maybe May.

Some brokers will e-mail you the schedule of when you can participate..

They will file the preliminary prospectus on Wednesday, called an S-1. The IPO date has been set yet.
