My friend only had a small amount of followers and was fallowing more than followers, the other night we were talking on kik and suddenly her followers spurted up dramatically, like 1500 in half an hour followed her? She said she did nothing so how do I do this?

She most probably signed up for one of those promotional twitter pages. What they do is they take your twitter ID and circulate it amongst their followers with the prompt " follow me I follow back". Its actually pretty simple.
