As things stand now your fb friends can add you to facebook groups even if you do not want to belong to those groups. So, is it possible to adjust your fb privacy settings so that none of your fb friends can not add you to facebook groups?

nope
the only thing close to it is when you are added to a group, you can leave it, and then it gives you the option of preventing people from adding you back to that specific group

Yes u can ..go to the top right corner and go into all ur settings

Yes that can be done from settings option.
