He says he loves me but I'm not sure. Sometimes he can be off with me on text and he never posts stuff about us on Facebook but he posts stuff about his friends. Why would this be?

Some guys just don't like to share their personal relationship with the world. If he hangs out with you and his friends and they know that he is with you, then don't worry about him posting about you in facebook.

I agree with Ilas. Some people don't want their employers and are just very private.
