-The media often reports stories about crime and goes into lots of detail about the offenders—this prompts people who at home, watching the news to follow the actions of the crime offenders. For example, a person with a history of psychological problems or in general, PROBLEMS, may be watching the news and see that a criminal is wanted for murder; statistics are released about the number of people he has killed, or what type of weapons he's used, and this triggers a sense of jealousy within the viewer, they feel as if they've been challenged and may go out and do something utterly crazy and horrendous. (This epiphany has been spoken about before, I am not the first, so don't think I'm some future killer...lol?)

-Things that are trending in communities or society affect the way a person acts, to as be seen as the same as its peers, to fit in. For example, a teenage girl wants to fit in with other teens so she engages in the activities they do, such as dress in similar fashion, or act, etc, to be accepted.

-Children, as they grow, learn to follow their parents ad mimic their behavior. This indicates a sense of learning and trust, in a way, and affects the things the child will most likely do in the future. For example, the child sees his or her parent smoking, they might in the future want to do this as well.
