What app is used on Facebook? - Laney - 03-24-2014 11:24 AM

What app is used to give location? For example: Sarah is at *insert restaurant name* with *insert friends names here*.

It gives links to the friends pages and restaurant.

I'm not sure if its a phone app or Facebook app, BUT it's really been bugging me that I cant figure it out!

Is it the 'Places' feature? Look it up, Facebook 'Places'. Smile It's been around a while. It uses area location technology like many map apps do with portable devices. My iPod does it, with Wi-Fi. It also works on iPhones with 3G access. If you can connect to an access point, It'll give you a list of notable places (marks), such as a shopping centre or food outlet and you pick the one you're closest to. It's kind of like 'tagging on' to give your friends an idea of where you are and what you're up to... Also if you have A LIFE. So it may be Places.
Vote me best answer if this helped. Good day. ;D
