I can turn off chat on app but I can't figure it out on how to turn it off for certain people. Not for everyone.

Go to Options Than Advance Settings From There you Should Be Able to Turn Off Chat For Some People Not Sure How its Set Up On your Phone Tho as Phones Can have Different Layouts For Facebook
