Not always , sometimes it can be because they have good content on their page but for me the reason i kinda stalked a guy on FB was because i wasnt sure if he was legit or not so i had to check his page a few times to be sure

Nah, facebook is for friends not for boyfriends/girlfriends. If you had a bf/gf you wouldn't even be having facebook as they would control whom you befriend all the time and all that.
