is it okay to add unknown people on Facebook? - Claire - 03-24-2014 11:28 AM

I'd love to make friends form all around the world but I don't wanna be a creep. I'd really love to have friends from England and such but isn't it a bit weird? Is this normal?

You can be hacked if you add unknown people on Facebook .There is a trick named Three friend Hack on Facebook . And also a research says that you can only handle 150 friends max on Facebook.

Why don't you make another account in a sort of pen name for people who you don't know in person. That's what I do. Then you don't have all your personal info on there for them to see. I'm from England and made my extra account so I could add some friends I met in a game who live it America. Snap! Tongue

I've heard that you could go up to 5000 friends on a FaceBook account and have seen a number of local TV celebrities doing so. Usually many of them seem to convert their FaceBook page, into a fan page when they get up to 5000 so that the page becomes unlimited then.
One downside to having many friends on FaceBook is that it starts to take up more system resources for a web browser to display them all and it becomes hard to do on an old computer.
Who you would like to have for a friend on FaceBook is a matter of personal preference. Some people will accept anyone's friend request, regardless of whether they know them or not, whereas others will only accept friend requests from people who they are friends with in real life.
Do you think those TV celebrities know very many of the people on their FaceBook pages? They probably have one FaceBook page for their public life, named something like MarkJohnsonTV or MarkJohnsonWeather, that someone at the TV station office manages for them, and then they have another one for their private life, named something like MarkJohnson, that only their closest friends know about.

it's against the rules on facebook to add people you dont know - and if you ignore the rules, people can just click on "i dont know this person" and you get reported for breaking the rules, then your account gets suspended (not "hacked" like so many people think)

the reason it's against the rules is because it's indicative behavior of spammers

it's also against the rules to create more than one account for the very same reason
