Because my friend printscreened 2 of her facebook profiles and they had skins and the font was a different colour :]

This DOES exist. It's called PageRage, and it is in fact safe and not a scam. They are fun and completely virus-free, however there are some drawbacks:
- only other people with PageRage installed can view your changed profile. Normal users cannot see the changes.
- critics are saying that PageRage is making Facebook more like MySpace with customizable layouts, and that's what many users wanted to escape in the first place
- PageRage DOES leave advertisements on your profile as well as a pretty layout, so it's not as great as it may seem.
