What is the difference between the facebook app and just using safari on your iphone to go on facebook?

using the app is quicker takes you straight there.

the app has more features, and is closer in size. get the app. or test it out yourself.

i was wondering about that too. basically i think that it's more organised with the app. other than that it's the same (:
oh, and if you write a status message with the app, it appears as "via iphone" as compared to using safari.

The Facebook app is much more streamlined and easier to use as it's meant to be used with your iPhone. The mobile site is what Facebook offers to all mobile phone web browsers, not just iPhone users.
There's not a huge difference, but the Facebook app is free and it's easier to use.

I prefer using the Facebook app since it was made for iPhone...it has all the features you need and the ones that are relevant to iPhone.
HOWEVER, I have found that you can't "like" comments through the app, but you can when you use Safari.
