Klout is a website and mobile app that uses social media analytics to rank its users according to online social influence via the "Klout Score", which is a numerical value between 1 and 100.

It is a measure of your "Online" Influence, based upon the number of Social Network and Networking sites you are on and the number of connections you have and number of your posts. The minimum score is 1 and maximum is 100.

A Klout score is far more important to someone in the workplace, as networking and knowledgeable posting can potentially increase your employability, clout among your peers and the ability to gain new customers. Professional social networking sites such as Linkedin were built around the online networking concept.
