What words can you not stand? - picaroon - 03-24-2014 11:36 AM For instance when someone says "belly," I want to attack someone. Or if they say OJ instead of orange juice. Drives me crazy. What about you? - Mao - 03-24-2014 11:39 AM Folded (as in laundry). I avoid saying it as much as possible. - Gurl Please - 03-24-2014 11:41 AM When people say ridonkulous or however it's spelt instead of ridiculous. Also, when people just say Cali instead of California - Saya♥ - 03-24-2014 11:50 AM Bicker. My mom says it ALL the time and it drives me crazy. Also when someone says Overnight instead of Sleepover. - 4.28.2011 - 03-24-2014 11:57 AM onomatopoeias like "squeak" or "burp." - q2tango - 03-24-2014 11:59 AM Oh there are soooooooooo many! * the overuse of diva and awesome so that they no longer mean what they used to! *the use of regime to describe a fitness routine. * the use of large/small to describe a number. * the use of tweet as a verb ie "Tweet us at" It's "Twitter us at" (We don't say "Letter me your answer.") * the writing of the word 'have' as 'of' as in "I would of done it." *grammer spelled like Kelsey's last name! *the use of the noun good as an adverb. " I slept good last night" 'I did good on my exam" and the pronounciations that makes me cringe: Mary Hart et al completely omitting the second syllable in Josh Duhamel's name. Du-a-mel, not Doomel. Iraq is not pronounced "Eyerack" it's "Earrack" (It's an ear not an eye!) Neuclear is only pronounced 'newclear'- all one word. and the word I hate just because it exists: 'brassiere' |
