Can people see who was looking at their profile in facebook, or does facebook automatically send friend requests after viewing someones pictures, because on 2 separate occasions i got a friend request from someone right after looking at their accounts

No, facebook doesn't automatically send friend invites.

its probably from those suggested friends on the side thing facebook knows you were looking at there pictures and if you have mutual friends facebook will put you on there suggested friends thing
