Do you have to pay for a FB ad? Help!? - Neysha - 03-24-2014 11:39 AM

I may be being stupid but I have never done a facebook ad before. I made a page and I want to know if I have to pay for an ad? Or do they just take a certain amount out of the money you get from people clicking on it? Thanks.
Yes but what about my other question?

Yes ads do cost, depending on the subject matter you might pay $0.20 to $1.50 per click. Ads that go to Facebook pages, rather than external sites cost less. You sign up with your credit card to pay for ads and can set a daily spend limit, just click the advertising link at the bottom.

So you don't get money you get from people clicking on it, you have to pay for that, and hope your page is clever enough to earn it back in product sales or affiliate commissions.

Some people use advertising just to seed the popularity of a page or application, some have content that requires a "like" to access it.
