Does Windows 7 phone make sense for a person who doesn't have (hates!) Facebook? - yp_joe_arlington_887 - 03-24-2014 11:39 AM

I hate facebook with a passion. Honestly, social media in general is a waste to me. I don't twitter or check into anything. I do enjoy socialinzing, but in 3D. I want an upgrade from blackberry and I really like the new W7 lumia. I also was a huge fan of the zune. I still think the zune software is awsome. I've never been an apple fan and don't plan on starting now. I tried an android and wasn't impressed.

If I get a W7 phone am I going to be bombarded with facebook and/or twitter? I always see the facebook icon on a main tile, can I change that? I really want the phone for business/work.

Hello!

The reason you see it always on the live tiles is because it's baked right into the operating system. You don't have to download any apps to access twitter or facebook. That being said, if you don't want to sign into Twitter or Facebook in the people hub, you don't have to. It's a great way to stay in contact, but if you just want to use your people hub for texting, you definitely can.

If you're a fan of Windows Phones, definitely get the Lumia 900 that is coming out on April 8th. It's going to be the flagship Windows Phone device. You'll love it!

It's going to be a great phone. If you don't want Facebook, you don't have to install Facebook apps or visit Facebook. Use it for the things you want to. If Facebook is pre-installed, I am sure you can remove it.
