facebook friend request pending? - christinelovesu - 03-24-2014 11:41 AM

sooo i added someone as a friend about a week ago and he still hasnt replied to it?? it just says "friend request pending" but even though this is the case his information still comes up in my news feed like when he changes his profile picture or joins a group it comes up on my news feed..has he not recieved my friend request? is this a facebook error and why does he still come up in my news feed if he hasnt accepted the request?
its not a conversation between mutual friends that comes up on my news feed its like for eg. joe has joined the group "blah blah blah" and joe has changed his profile picture...

You have a mutual friend dear.

Sometimes you may see other people's comments to your friends status updates. So if it;s just comments then there's a chance he's not your friend. However if things like profile pic changes and status updates are coming up it would seem that he is your friend.

Do you think there's a possibility that he has TWO facebook accounts?

If not, it seems like a facebook error!

Sounds to me like Joe has forgotten about it. If you get a few friend request and there are some strangers in them then you think to yourself, "I'll look at it later." Meanwhile the red icon to remind you is gone.

When you send a friend request to a person, public stories about them (stories that have the privacy set to "Everyone") may appear in your News Feed. This way you don’t have wait for them to respond to your friend request to see their public updates.
