I don't know if I'm confusing this apple camera app with another one. But didn't Instagram camera app use to provide an app for your iPhone and a software (like photoshop) version to use on your apple laptop?
Have they gone and changed it so it's exclusively only as an app for iPhones?
If so you b***** and is there anything similar and free I can use on my apple laptop, not photoshop

Use Skitch on your laptop.
I don't know if Instagram used to have a computer app, I've only ever used the iphone app itself.

Instagram never came with an app for Mac, just the iPhone one. If you are looking for a photo editing tool, then, you could try Pixelmator, it's really neat, not free though.
