I had a ravelry account and they took down my pattern claiming I HAD to put it in a pdf format (I have nooo idea how to do that!). I have a facebook page and I have liked many crochet/ knit pages. I am just not too sure if I am allowed to put things on their page. Any help?

Just about any kid you pull in off of the street can show you how to save your existing documents in pdf format. It doesn't take any more work, it's just knowing what buttons to push. LEARN! It's a good thing.

Most sites that host blogs will permit you to put anything in your blog you want to post, including patterns and photos of the completed pattern (or the steps along the way).
However, turning text into a PDF file is easy. Here's how:
In Microsoft Word, click the "Office" button, select "Save As," and click "PDF or XPS." Enter the name you want to use and select the location you want to use, then click "Publish."
In Open Office Writer or Libre Office Writer, click "File," click "Export as PDF," and click "Export."
As far as I know, all word processing programs that are more sophisticated than WordPad and NotePad let you create PDF files either by saving the document in PDF format or by exporting the document into PDF format. If you run across one that doesn't, you may want to download a program specifically for creating PDF files. DoroPDF or CutePDF are free downloads.
