Facebook profiles.....? - Anthony M - 03-24-2014 11:47 AM

Why are some people able to view facebook profiles without having a profile. They leave wall posts, but they themselves have no profile.

Also, I have searched for a friend (Meg) and can not find her, but when I go and view another friends profile, they have photos that come from Meg's photo albums. But you cannot click or add Meg.

Does this mean that they deleted their account, and only the photos are left?
Or are they able to hide their profile.

Thanks.

Meg may have super high privacy settings that do not allow people outside of her friends to search for her. Ask her to add you instead.

You cannot view Facebook profiles without having a profile. If you see that person is leaving Wall posts, they have a profile. If that person's name is in black and their profile pic is a question mark, it means they have changed their privacy Search settings so that only their friends can see them. No one will be able to search for them, which ultimately means that no one can add them -- only they add people. Perhaps Meg has changed her settings to that. In that case, you will have to ask her to add you.

It doesn't mean they deleted their account (if someone deactivates their account then everything will be gone, even photos).
