Internet ads for things I look up? - Mobius - 03-24-2014 11:49 AM

Ok, so I noticed that when I go to facebook or myspace, I see advertisement links for things I've recently searched for on the internet, such as hunting equipment and the name of an old friend. How does that work? How do they know what you searched for?

Everything you type into a website is trackable by that site. Websites like facebook make money by selling ads. so when you post about hunting, they know you like hunting and show you hunting ads.
