Which country current in entire world where the ideas Republicans advocate have been proven to work? - jesswzmn - 03-24-2014 04:10 PM

To be specific, is Republicans totally got their way and could actually get 100% of all their policy objectives..all the laws they want etc..., which country in the world actually comes the very closest to having the sort of pro big business, low taxes on big business, 16% tax rates on billionaires, no social safety nets, only private schools, flat income taxes, hardly any environmental protection agencies, hardly any if any at all consumer protection agencies, a stock market that is allowed to regulate and police itself for the most part with the govt not interfering, and all public projects, well...they are all private projects....if a bridge needs to be built, no taxes pay for such things, some private company merely bids and charges tolls for that bridge etc.?

Which country in the entire world, current or past can we point to not called the USA that we can say hey...look they tried this and it worked pretty well??

U mean the Rep party? Cause their policies are IDENTICAL to DEMS.

Bush, Clinton, B. Jr. , Obama...... can u name a single difference in their policies?

You are describing Libertarians, not Republicans or even conservatives. There were no federal social programs in this country until the 1930's. No federal income tax until 1913. Prior to that, the money came from tariffs and Welfare provided by each community. Infrastructure provided mostly by private sector sometimes with help from government. Sometimes not. Government did fund the schools and the military. The constitution actually lays out the responsibilities of the federal government. Unfortunately, those responsibilities have been expanded into a federal Leviathan that can now not be supported any longer no matter how high the taxes are.

Luxembourg; it's a country built solely as a place for rich people to hide their money.

Pretty easy answer, just look at the United States over the last couple decades.

In 2007 Democrats took full control of Congress and began implementing their objective of absolute government control over every aspect of our lives. And we all know what the end result of liberal ideology they brought has been.. job losses, poverty and misery. Before that, while Republicans were still in control, the American people were wealthier, happier and more free.

I see you know you have to exclude anywhere it's actually been done.
How about you explain why, if Republican ideas DON'T work, increasing the number of Congressional/White House Republicans making policy tends to be followed by:
> More jobs http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS12000000 r=0.43 p<0.0003
> Higher employment rate http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS12300000 r=0.49 p<0.00003
How about you explain why, if Republican ideas DON'T work, reducing top marginal tax rates tends to be followed by:
> Higher GDP r=0.50 p<0.00000008
> More revenue to the Treasury r=0.50 p<0.00000008
> Higher employment rate r=0.84 p<0.00000000000000000065
> Higher wages r=0.63 p<0.000055

Indeed, just cite ONE TIME implementation of a GOP policy failed to deliver the results the GOP predicted.

Not gonna' happen. Both of us know it.

I'd look to Hong Kong and Singapore for what government should look like.

There is no country presently like you described as far as I am aware. If you look back in history there have been some dictatorships that have had a resemblance . Perhaps Nazi Germany or Fascist Italy.
