Tricky question since its so short and no context.... Here is my best effort. Hope it helps.

Social Advertising is often another way to describe word of mouth advertising (also known as buzz marketing and viral marketing). This is typically a result of a message in your ad that is repeatable and has value to share with others. Often this type of ad is funny or unusual or completely spot on with a feeling or an emotion.

An example of word of mouth is the BlendTec "will it blend" videos on YouTube - those videos get a ton of exposure and the result is they sell a whole lot of blenders that cost $300 and up.

The trick with this type of stuff is that it starts out as an ad - like anything else, only it has a special set of ingredients that allow others to latch on to the message and share with their friends... once the sharing starts, thats when it becomes a social ad. Make sense?

Hope this helps.
