For Zazzle do you have to physically make the clothing and items yourself? - Anna - 03-24-2014 04:12 PM

I'm thinking about making a store for the website Zazzle.com I was wondering do I have to physically make them myself? Thanks.

No.

The beauty of Zazzle (and some other sites out there) is that you don't make your own items. You upload a design or artwork. You might size or position the artwork on clothing templates (or other templates--pictures, ornaments, etc) that Zazzle displays.

Then, when someone orders the clothing, or picture, or ornament, or whatever--Zazzle makes it and ships it out. The trick to making it work is to develop enough items. You can have multiple stores, often based on different types of items. (I have one on classic artwork, another on outer space, etc.) You can also separate your stores based on other factors--such as one just for baby clothing. Make sure you include full descriptions of the items you create so when someone's search for an item, yours has a chance of appearing.

And it helps if you promote your store(s) to your friends, family, etc. And promote it on social media.

Hope that helps.
