How can I protect my privacy on social media? - Men are good too...... - 03-24-2014 04:14 PM

Recently, I've noticed that on Facebook that some of my posts are randomly made available to my friends on my wall (even closed groups). I'm an active user on some very sensitive groups (let's just say more sensitive than AA?). Will setting post to "me only" stop interaction with my friends on non-group topics?

Next: How do I prevent people seeing open groups on my profile, thanks to that new feature on Facebook?

You can't. There is nothing private about social media.

It's a well-known fact that Facebook is a CIA world database! If you want privacy, forget it! They probably know what colour underpants you're wearing! Enter personal information at your own risk! My advice would be to close your account!

I don't think it is possible. It would be better if you simply close your account if you are having so much trouble handling it.

The best way to keep your life private from social media is to not use social media period.
