What's the acceptable amount of photos to post on Instagram? - Sweg - 03-24-2014 04:14 PM

Yes I sound like a white girl.
But I barley post pictures on Instagram. Usually one every two weeks. But I'm on vacation and I have some good pictures I wanna share, but I'm afraid I've posted too much already. I posted 2 yesterday and 1 today, and I'm going to this cool town tomorrow and I'll probably want to post another one.

This is honestly the most ive posted in a small time span. I hate posting too much because it annoys me when others post a lot.

Whats a good amount of pictured to post per week/day?

Most studies I've seen regarding effectiveness of social media outreach on instagram show that 1-2 photos per day, with as many as 4 per day (spread out through the day) is effective without negative impact.

Here's one of the most helpful discussions I've seen -- it's dated, but still quite relevant:

There are no "hard" rules, and the instagram api docs do not specify an enforced upload limit, but it has been reported to be set to 7,500 images per day (so effectively non-existent).

Generally (and I feel this way myself), I think 1-2 photos per day (of GOOD, quality, interesting photos) is great. More than that just becomes noise.
