WHy does he ignore my texts yet still has me as a friend on faceBook?
We went to HS 10 years ago - he found me on FB and we chatted for a month - then we messed around and he left me MIA>We discussed being serious so that was bad on his part. Yet next day he texts and I respond, no reply. So I text him and he now he ignores me. But why does he still have me as a "friend' on FB>

because it is just FB, it doesn't really mean anything.

Maybe he hasn't had the chance to update his Facebook, or he's just giving the appearance of being polite.

My guess is because having someone as a friend on Facebook is benign compared to having a coversation via text messages. They are not in the same category at all, since Facebook friend status is not actual communication beyond the initial request.

I remember the days before text messaging and Facebook. It was a lot simpler and a lot less weird. We are all held accountable now based on whether or not we choose to respond to a text message or a Facebook post. Kinda weird.
