yes. because it is very useful. u can make it so some people cant see ur status or if u want to hide something from someone u can

if you never check your profile then i guess you should but if you like to edit your info a lot, like sports and all that... its gonna be HARD to find it, and if you play games on FB, no one is gonna help you
oh! and unfortunately, this year they're going to make it mandatory so i dont really think you have a choice lol just wait until they "make it'' mandatory
