why won't anyone answer this question????? - Bob - 03-24-2014 04:23 PM

Ok so I haven't talked to a "friend" I guess you could say in about a year now but I want to reconnect with him without it being very very awkward, could you tell he how to talk to him again without it being weird because we haven't talked in forever we even walk past each other in the hallways at school and say not one thingSad really makes me sad?
We stopped talking because he asked if we were friends and I said no because I thought we were talking about a social networking site like Facebook at the moment? Then after that he just stopped talking to me and I was still kinda new to the school so I left it alone but now I want to talk to him again to maybe get are friendship back.
Another problem is he's always around a group of people or his best friend when I feel comfortable to talk to him so idk should I just ask to talk to him alone and take him away from his group of friends:/ but Idk would that be weird?
And what should I say to him without out me sounding gay/needy but friendly

Don't pull him out when he's with he's friends say hi in hallways and start to talk to him on Facebook or wat ever site you's are on

if u see him in lessons just go 'hey, hows life, we haven't spoken for some time what u been upto?'
that gets a convo started.
if not:
just pass by saying hey, then try and get him alone, or even just talk to him with his m8s!

No, don't "take him away" from his group of friends - that would be awkward. Next time you walk passed him, just say "Hey man, how's it going? It's been a while..." Or if you both have Facebook (or some other social network site), add him and write it on there instead. You could maybe say something like, "It's been a while. What's new?" Try to catch up with him and if you eventually start talking again, maybe ask if he wants to hang out sometime or go for a couple of drinks (depending on how old you are). Then, once you two start talking again, try to somehow bring up the part about you not being friends and make a joke about how it was a misunderstanding. Just talk to him how you would talk to any random person. Show interest in another person's life and they will reciprocate. Just be yourself and don't overthink it. Most guys don't care about this kind of stuff. Just do it and don't give it a second thought. The more you worry about it, the more awkward it will be. And if after this he shows no interest in being your friend, then let it go.

Good luck!
