what determines the friends that show up on the left of someone else's facebook page? - Raymon S. - 10-15-2012 08:10 PM

Like if you go to someone elses facebook page there is a list of 10 friends on the left side of their page. What determines who the 10 people that show up are? it is usually a similar group of people. if seems as though it shuffles through a gorup of 15-20 people, only showing 10. it seems like there has to be something that determines it since it is usually the same group of people. in addition, does the order the people show up in matter too? just curious.

It's random
However people can select them by hand
On your home page it has a little button and that shows
1)how many friends are shown
2) if there are friends that you always want to have shown (and that number is anywhere between 1-however many you choose to have displayed)

I think its the ones the user interacts with most, or has most clicks from page to page

personally I think this is true from evaluating my own page. People I never, or would prob never go on my page never show up there. test it on your page.
