Long question that unless youv actually experienced it you probably havent a clue.. bare with me..
Iv got all my phonebook contacts stored on my sim card, I wanted to sync my phonebook with the Android facebook app so's to get pictures next to my contacts along with email addresses.. I wish i hadnt bothered !! I synced with the app to find all my facebook contacts were added to my phonebook even the people i didnt really want there numbers on my phone, also people i already had just duplicated.. i.e. brooky in my phone book is there along side richard brook from facebook.. the only way i can see i can sort this is to transfer all my sim contacts to my handset then link them to the app which is a timely process as you have to do them 1 by 1 (300+ contacts) and then delete the sim entry which also means if my handset goes down iv lost all my original contacts, this is really buggin me as i now have duplicated contacts unable to link together.. like i said unless you have and resolved this problem i doubt you can answer.. The HTC Desire is an unbelievable handset by the way and i recommend buying but dont try to sync with facebook !!
Theres an Ice cold beer and packet of prawn cocktail crisps for anyone who resolves this issue.. I wont hold my breath though..

Clean up your computer/browser or try different one. You can also try to log out and then, in your account.
If that doesn't work, don't worry. Wait for Facebook to fix the problem for you.
