some people say its fake. others say its real . but they did email me a confirmation email but didnt say anything after that/.

I say it's fake. No one gives away free iPhones also if you look at all the comments no one says thanks I got my phone. It's just a bunch of shout outs. Also it hey send you to multiple instagram pages and really look at the amount of phones they say there giving away. Scam!

This is exactly what happened to me. I just got my confirmation a little while ago. Many people say its fake, but I'm hoping its real. We'll have to see when they "contact" us.

It's fake. The only confirmation is that you just gave your information to scammers
This scam goes around every time Apple releases a new model of iPhone or iPad. The same scam went around with the launch of the iPad 3 and the iPhone 4S
Think about it - why would Apple give away iPhones when people are lining up for 5 days on the launch date and paying $500? Why would Apple give away iPhones when there is a waiting list of people who are willing to PAY for them? And most obviously, why in the hell would Apple ever use a free @aol email address? Of course this is not real - if it's not from @apple.com then it's so obviously fake I can't believe anyone would fall for it
