okay I just made an instagram I have 4 followers but it says I have 40! how do I fix that???????

Tap on the followers button on your profile. It will show you the list of people following you. If there are only 4 people listed, it's probably just a glitch. Ignore it; it will eventually correct itself and go back to normal. If there are 40 people listed, that means either 40 of your friends are now following you and you should follow them back, or there are multiple fake accounts who are following you. If the accounts are fake, then block them all and change your user name to something more complicated. Also to avoid fake accounts, don't use popular hashtags on your photos.
