Not sure if it is better. Both are different aveneus to promote and grow your business. SEO is more about promoting your business through your website while social media is more about marketing your business through your social presence and activities. Both can complement each other.

There is no better from those two. Social media promoting is part of SEO activities, so you can't compare those two.

Because you engage with real people versus waiting around for people to find you.
However, SEO is still important, because you can't find everyone.
