I was recently informed by my boyfriend that he received a message from a former friend of mine on Facebook about 3 months ago.
In the message, she told him that I had cheated on him and that I had genital warts- both statements which are completely false.
She and I had a tumultuous parting of ways which nearly involved the authorities which my boyfriend was aware of. He tells me he doesn't believe her and imagines that she is doing this out of spite, but I'm so worried that he doesn't trust me.
I'm familiar with the process of reporting harassment on Facebook, but since it wasn't harassment aimed at me, I can't do anything personally. I don't want to ask my boyfriend to report her (but I really wish he would) and would love any and all advice that you can give me for this dilemma.

You would need all evidence of such a message. You would then need to take them to court, but get your facts right, since this was written and not spoken it would be libel, not slander. Or you could try for defamation of character. But without hard evidence you will lose.

As long as your boyfriend knows shes a lying wh*re, i wouldn t worry.

Why did it take your boyfriend so long to tell you of this? Did he show you the message? Has she messaged him again?
If it was one message from 3 months ago, just leave it alone. If your boyfriend doesn't believe her, there's no problem. All he has to do is block this person so she doesn't message him again.
Now, if she starts messaging other friends of yours, then you and your friends need to contact Facebook showing the harassing messages.
